My 2020 Lockdown.

My 2020 Lockdown.

These first 2 terms of school were different. Suddenly we all went into level 4 lockdown. We all needed to stay home. This bad bug is called Covid-19 or crona viros. It was changing the world. New Zealand had to go into lockdown because it would spread like crazy. I liked staying home. It was a nice time to be with family. I spent a lot of time baking yummy cakes and goods. I also did quite a bit of school work. Me and my mum went on long walks to walk our dog and to stay fit.

“Mum can I make chocolate chunk biscuits?” I asked my mum.
“Shour you can.” Mum said in a soft voice. So I raced down stairs and got all the ingredients, the cook book too. I read the steps. Finally I was at the last step. It was a hard step, I had to mix the mixture, then make it into little biscuits. Once I had finished with the very sticky mixture. I flattened the biscuits down with a fork. I put them in the oven and waited till they were cooked. Then I put them on a cooling rack. Rani Walked in “What is that appetizing smell?” Rani asked.
I said “it is freshly baked chocolate chunk cookies.”

“It’s 9.30 Rosie.” Yelled my mum from down stairs.
“Yeah I know mum.” I yelled. I opened my chromebook and logged in. “Hi Rosie.” I hear Miss Hickling say. I wave at her and then see who else was on the Google Meet. Then after a while we crack on with our work. “Ohhhh this looks fun.” It was to make a piece of art for ANZAC Day. I was thinking, “ummm, what should I make,” I say. So I get all my lego out and say “this might take a while.” I start making a poppy out of lego. I needed a lot of red pieces. I heard the lego pieces crashing together like waves chasing together well I was finding the perfect piece. Finally I had finished. Ok time for a good photo. “Clik clik” I go upstairs “done” I had posted it on my blog.

“Ok Mum I am ready” We start going for our walk to the river, “oh look mum, Chloe is coming.” I whisper. Chloe is our dog and she loves going for walks. She is a cute little dog but she likes to get dirty sometimes. We got to the river, “how are we going to cross the river?” Mum said
“Ok I think I know. Let's go this way.” I said. We had crossed the fist bit but that was only the first bit. Finally we had finished the walk and we were back home. “That was a good walk,” Mum says happily. I could see the river flowing frantily down, the corant getting faster and faster. “Do you hear that mum?” It the birds, they sound so satisfying by themselves and no booming car noises. Describe

Excitingly mum yells from down stairs. “Rosie, I have some good news for you.”
“What is it mum.” I ask in an interesting voice.
“Well you're going back to school on Monday.” Mum says cheerfully.
“Ummm is that good news mum? Is it really?” I ask with an interesting look on my face.

As I walk through the gate into school, I think about my 2020 lockdown. I think that it was a fun time with my family, It was definitely something new for me. It seemed quite long but it was enjoyable.
