Pet Power.

I was learning how to evaluate a texts.
I found it hard to write the main ideas down because there was a lot of writing to be done.
Next time I would change some of my thoughts because some of them I could have done better.
I liked doing this because it was a challenge and it was fun.

Matariki Breakfast.

Matariki Breakfast.

                        

Cupcakes, pancakes, donuts and much more. I could not wait to dig into all that tasty food we were having for Room 2's Matariki Breakfast. People from my class brought all types of food for breakfast.  I bought pancakes. Someone even brought chips. How crazy but how delicious. I knew I would regret eating all the delicious food after the big breakfast but it was such a tasty breakfast. I went for the sweets a lot. Sometimes the saverys but not much. I had such a big delicious breakfast I probably couldn't eat morning tea but there is still room for lunch. 

The Ant Army.

This is my inferencing puzzle that I made on a book I read called "The Ant Army." 
I was learning how to make inferences.
I found it difficult to to find the inferences because I was still learning about them.
Next time I would make my meaning more descriptive because I think I could do it a bit better.
I enjoyed writing everything down because it helped me to type faster.

This is about a book I read called Docking Day.
I was learning how to make inferences because it will help me when I am reading.
I found it difficult to find inferences in the book because it was new to me.
Next time I would change some of my inferences because some of them could be better and more descriptive.
I enjoyed finding the inferences because it was a challenge.

Synonyms

This is my Vocabulary-Synonyms,
I was learning about finding good synonyms.
I found it hard to find word that I did not know what it ment because there were not to many.
Next time I would change some of my synonyms because some may not be really relative to the word.
I found it easy to get synonyms because I just needed to click some buttons then I got them.
I liked making this because it was fun.

Water Worries

This is my reflection on a book I read called Water Worries.

I was learning about water and I learnt it is a really important thing in New Zealand.

I found it hard to answer the questions because some of them I did not know the answer too.

Next time I would change some of my answers because I could have explained them better.

I found it easy to write all the summary because I had read the book.

I liked doing this because it made me think of all the water and how I should save water.

Yucky Bugs.

Did you know that Tiger slugs drink milk.

Ants eat bird droppings right off your deck so you do not have to clean it yourself.

The New Zealand native Stink Roch is a great recycler.

The New Zealand Leaf Vane slug is named by its leaf vaned print on it's body.

These are my yucky bugs, that I made out of a bottle lids.

I found it hard to pant the bottle lids because the pant would come off and then I would have to paint them again.

Next time I would use different paint to paint them because the paint would not stay on the lid.

I found it easy to glue the eyes on because they would just  go on easily.

I liked making these. It was fun!

How A Virus Spreads

This is my little game about how a virus spreads.
I was learning how to code because it is good if you want to make a game or a video.
I found it hard to write in the breaking news because there was so much to write in.
Next time I would change my percentage of people who stay home because it could of been less.
I found it easy to put in my percentage of people who stayed home because it was quick and you only needed to click some buttons.
I liked making this because it was fun and I have never done this before.

Robot Code Instructions

This is my Robot Code slide.
I was learning how to use code so I can use and read code.
I found it hard to write the code because you had to count squares and it was something new for me.
Next time I would change some of my houses because somewhere a bit plan I could of made them people's houses instead.
I found it easy to get the photos of things because they were just there.
I liked making this because it was fun.

This is my quiz on a book I read named Square Eyes.
Today I was learning how to use google forms because it it a good thing to use when you need to make a quiz or ask questions.
Next time I would change some of my answers because some are a little boring.
I found it hard to use the google forms because I had never used them before.
I found it easy to think of the answers because all of them were in the book.
I liked using google forms, it was fun.

ANZAC Poem

This is my poem about ANZAC.
I was learning about making a Acrostic poem because it is a good skill to have.
I found it hard to make the doc the right size because I forgot the code.
I found it easy to write my poem because I had done it before.
Next time I would change my colour of the writing because they do no go together and they are a bit bright.
I enjoyed making this because I like to make poems.

Easter Poem

This is my acrostic poem on Easter.
I found it hard to find a word/sentence for the letter V because There are  not to many letters beginning with V.
I found it easy to publish it to my blog because I have done it before.
I enjoyed to make the words different colours because there were so many different colours to choose from.
Next time I would change some of my words/sentences because some are a bit like the other ones.
I liked making this poem because it was a fun way to explain Easter.

Easter Day

This is my story about Easter at my house in the morning.
I found it hard to change the code because it was something new for me.
I found it easy to get the emojis on to the self assessment because I knew how to do it and I have done it before.
I enjoyed getting the emojis because I knew how to do it and because they all looked so cool.
Next time I would make my story longer because it was a bit short and I would put more verbs in and that would mean I could put more adverbs in.
I really liked writing this story.

Easter Traditions

In Finland children dress up as little Easter witches and wish people well in exchange for Easter teats. Easter in finland is all about having spring come and saying goodbye to the cold winter nights and mornings. In Finland it is not too different because they ask for treats and New Zealand looks for treats.

In New Zealand we wake up and go find the Easter eggs\treats the Easter Bunny hides us. We also go to a Sunday Easter Mass and think about how Jesus died to forgive people from sins. Some people travel to family members houses and have a lovely tea all together.

Trespass

In this story I read, I thought that the farmer was a nice man in the end because he forgave the boys but only because they helped him with the pipe that needed to be fixed.
The boys should have not trespassed but they did learnt their lesson.
I think the story licked up to the Easter story because the kids were a bit like Jesus. Jesus knew he had to die. The kids knew they had to do work. So the man was a bit like the Jewish people because they did not like Jesus and he did not like the kid but that is why they are different because in the end the man forgave the kids.

Goal Setting Term 1

 This is my Term 1 Goal Setting slide.
I was learning about goal setting because we need some goals for Team 1.
I found it difficult to think of my social goal because I am new to this school.
I found it easy to think of a academic goal because I was needing to learn my 6, 7, 8 and 9.
I enjoyed choosing my a academic goal because it was the fastest one.
Next time I would change my social goal because it was a easy goal to do.
I liked choosing my goals.

I was learning about The 5 guiding principles because I should follow them.
I found it hard to draw the tree because I had to draw over this tree.
I found it easy to make the leaves because I just got a photo.
Next time I would change my tree because I think it is to small.
I enjoyed making this poster because it was fun and abit of a challenge.

Kawa Of Care

This is my Kawa Of Care poster.
I was learning about chromebooks and how to be safe with them because in this class we use them.
I found it hard to write all of the words because there are alot of words to write.
I found it easy to get the photo because I had or ready got a photo.
Next time I would put more photos in because I think t is a bit boring.
I enjoyed making this poster because it was fun and new for me.

How might you use your data? If we ever have an Ice cream in class for everyone, we will have Cookies and Cream because more people like it.

I made this slide because we were learning about bar graphs.
We were learning about gathering data from our bar graphs because it was something new.
I found it hard to make the graph because it was my first time.
I found it easy to answer the questions because I had made a graph that has all the answers on it.
I enjoyed changing the graph because I could because make it look fun.
Next time I would change my graph background.
I am so happy I made this graph it was so fun.

Swimming Sports

“Are you nervous?” I asked Hine
“Kind of” she said.
“Year 6 girls competitive please come and line up” Mrs Naden said. So I lined up and waited nervously in line. Then I carefully stepped on to the slippery diving block and saw all the people in the crowd. It felt like all their eyes were on me. Then “beep!” I dive in and feel the warmish water hit my face, I frantically swam freestyle all the way to the end, I had hit the wall. I hoped out of the crystal clear water. Then sat on the grand stand with Hine. “Competitive backstroke please go and line up” Mr H said, so I raced to the cold diving block. Next I hear a loud “beep!” In my ear, I dive in with a splash. “Swim, swim, swim” I think in my head “thud” I crashed into the wall, I see Miss Hickling handing me a green block, so I walk over to the diving block again but this time I had a swarm of butterflies in my stomach. “Beep!” I heard it for the third time. I dive in and swim to the end with the crowd cheering, then I hopped out with no block. I step onto the diving block for the last time “beep!” I heard the whistle blow I dived in and swam to the end. I reached the end and that was my 2020 swimming sports done. After a while it was time to walk back to school. We were on the way back to school. I was happy with that swimming spots, it was fun. “I like walking this way” I thought to myself. Back at school after a long walk I said to my friends “today was fun.”
